Baptisms
We're always delighted to welcome infants or adults* into the Christian community through baptism.
Baptism marks the beginning of a new life with God, as a member of God's people. It involves the whole church, so we celebrate baptism during the normal Sunday services (not in private). In Llanfair Caereinion, baptisms normally take place during the 11am Morning Worship service on the second Sunday of the month, or the 11am Family Service on the fourth Sunday of the month. In Llanllugan and Manafon, we would be happy to discuss which service would be most appropriate (morning, afternoon or evening).
Before the baptism takes place, there is a short period of preparation, which involves an opportunity to think through what baptism means for you. There is no charge for baptism.
